Premium prints

No. They're open edition fine-art prints. I don't number them or cap the run, and I'd rather say that plainly than sell you scarcity. What you're paying for is the photograph, an archival print on proper paper, and the option of a handmade frame.

A 230 gsm natural matte fine-art paper: acid- and lignin-free, archival grade, with a soft textured surface. Prints are made with giclée technology and UV-resistant inks, so the tones stay accurate and the paper doesn't yellow. It's a paper chosen for quiet images: no gloss, no glare, and detail that holds up close.

Five sizes: A4 (21 × 29.7 cm), 30 × 40 cm, 40 × 50 cm, 50 × 70 cm and 70 × 100 cm. A few images are offered in fewer sizes because of their original proportions; the size menu on each product page shows what's available. All sizes are metric and match standard frame sizes if you'd rather frame locally.

Yes. Frames are handmade in Italy from wood, with premium plexiglass rather than glass, so they arrive safely and hang lighter. The standard finish is Oak Dark; some prints also come in Oak Nature. The profile is 1.5 cm up to 50 × 70 cm and 2 cm at 70 × 100 cm. Framed prints arrive ready to hang, with turning clips on the back and either orientation possible.

A white border around the image, giving it room to breathe inside the frame. On framed prints it's a physical, acid-free mat. On unframed prints the white border is printed onto the sheet, which makes it easy to slot into a standard frame of your own. The window sizes are listed under "About the prints" above.

From €18 for an unframed A4 or 30 × 40 cm print, up to around €185 for a 70 × 100 cm print framed with a passepartout. Prices are in euros and shown on each product page as you choose size, frame and border. Shipping is added at checkout.

Each print is made to order. Production usually takes 1–2 business days, occasionally up to 4–5 in busy periods. After that, delivery is typically 2–5 business days within Europe and the UK, 3–7 to the US and Canada, and 4–8 to Australia. You'll see an estimated delivery date at checkout and get a tracking link when it ships.

From the print facility nearest you. My fulfilment partner produces in the EU, UK, US, Canada and Australia, so a print ordered from Berlin, London or New York is usually made in that region rather than flown across an ocean. That keeps delivery fast and, in most cases, keeps the shipment domestic.

Shipping is calculated at checkout and depends on where you are and what you've chosen — a large framed print costs more to send than an A4 in a tube. All shipments are tracked. Any import duties or taxes charged by your country on arrival are not included in the price.

Because every print is made specifically for your order, I can't take returns or exchanges for a change of mind or a wrong size once production has started. If a print arrives damaged, defective or not what you ordered, email me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a couple of photos and I'll replace it or refund you. You won't pay return shipping.

Not by default. Prints ship directly from the lab to you, which keeps prices where they are. If you'd like a signed print, email me before you order and we'll arrange it; it passes through my hands, so allow some extra time.

Close, with the caveat that a matte paper is softer than a backlit screen. Blacks are deep but not glossy, and highlights hold their detail. The images are prepared for this specific paper, so what you receive is what I intended, not just what your monitor shows.

Only if you're quick. Production starts shortly after an order comes in, so email luca@lucastefanelli.photography straight away with your order number and what you'd like changed. Once the print is in production it's yours.

Yes. If you're furnishing a space and need several prints, consistent framing or a size that isn't listed, email me. I can quote for sets, larger formats and coordinated collections from a single place, such as the Faroe Islands or the Po Valley.

Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and the print ships directly to them. Delivery times are the same as above, so for a specific date order at least two weeks ahead to be safe.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, away from humidity, and behind glazing if you frame it yourself. Handle unframed prints by the edges. Treated like that, an archival print on this paper will outlast the wall it's hanging on.
