Workshops
Workshops, the way I run them, are about attention. They are not about gear, settings, or output.
They are about the discipline of looking and walking through a place until something there decides to be photographed.
I keep groups small, and I leave room for conversation, editing, and silence in equal measure.
What this look like
One-to-one mentorship, across multiple sessions
Half-day and full-day urban photography walks in Copenhagen
Small group workshops (maximum four participants)
Portfolio reviews and editing sessions
Custom multi-day retreats, on location
The process
A conversation
About where you are in your practice and what you'd like to see shift.
A tailored format
Fieldwork, editing, conversation, or some combination of the three.
Time together
Walking and shooting, then sitting with the work.
Follow-up notes
And a small set of recommendations to carry forward.
Who is this for
Photographers at any level who feel that more gear or more output isn't what's missing. Also welcome: editors, designers, writers, and visual people from other disciplines who want to read the world more carefully.
Investment
Half-day walks begin at 4.000.- DKK per participant. One-to-one mentorship and retreats are quoted individually.
FAQsWorkshops: questions
-
Attention, mostly. We walk through a part of Copenhagen slowly, photograph what the place offers, and then sit down and look at the work together. It isn't about gear or settings; it's about the discipline of looking until something decides to be photographed. Every workshop ends with written notes and recommendations.

Half-day photography walks in Copenhagen start at 4,000 DKK per participant. Full days, one-to-one mentorship across several sessions, portfolio reviews and multi-day retreats on location are quoted individually. Email me with what you're after and I'll come back with a price.

Never more than four. Small enough that everyone gets real time, and quiet enough that the walking still feels like walking.
-
No. The workshops are for anyone who wants to see better: photographers at any level, but also editors, designers, writers and other visual professionals. What matters is curiosity, not technique. If you're advanced, we go deeper into editing and sequencing.
-
Whatever you have and know how to use. A phone is fine. A film camera is welcome. The point is to think less about the equipment and more about where you're standing.
-
In Copenhagen and its edges: harbour, parks, the quieter residential streets, the coast north of the city when there's time. Retreats can be arranged elsewhere — the Faroe Islands, Italy, Japan — for people who want several days in one landscape.
-
Yes, over several sessions: a mix of fieldwork, editing and conversation, shaped around where you are and where you'd like your work to go. It's the format I enjoy most, because the shifts are visible from one session to the next.
-
Yes. A half-day walk works well as an off-site for design, editorial or marketing teams who spend their days looking at images. Groups stay small, so larger teams are split across sessions. Email me with the team size and dates.
