Portraits
Made of light, presence, and the silence between.
A portrait, for me, is less about how someone looks than about what they carry. I work slowly, with natural light wherever possible, and I leave space for the person to arrive at themselves.
I rarely direct into a pose. I wait. The image I'm looking for usually appears once the camera has been forgotten.

FAQsPortrait sittings: questions

Sittings start at 1,000 kr and include the session, the editing and a curated set of high-resolution digital files. Fine-art prints and any commercial licensing are quoted separately. Couples, families and editorial portraits for professionals are all available; email me and I'll confirm the price for your case.

Usually one to two hours. Enough time to stop performing for the camera, which is when the good pictures happen. I don't rush and I don't over-direct; we walk, we talk, and I wait for the moment rather than staging it.
-
Wherever you're most yourself: your home, your studio, a place that means something, or a quiet corner of Copenhagen. I work in natural light, on location, and I'll suggest places if you're undecided. Sessions outside Copenhagen are possible with travel added.
-
Something you'd actually wear, in muted or natural colors if possible. Avoid large logos and busy patterns; they pull attention from the face. If in doubt, bring one alternative and we'll decide on the day.
-
A curated selection of edited high-resolution files, typically within two weeks of the sitting. I'd rather give you five images that hold up than a hundred you'll never look at. Prints on archival matte paper, framed or unframed, can be added afterwards.
-
Yes, in the same unhurried way. Family sessions often work best somewhere the family already spends time, rather than a park chosen for its looks.
-
Yes. Portraits for founders, artists, writers, academics and anyone who needs a picture that feels like a person rather than a headshot. These sittings are quicker and I can deliver a small set of files sized for press, LinkedIn and websites.
-
Personal use is included. If the portraits will be used commercially — advertising, book covers, company campaigns — a licence is quoted on top of the session fee. Press and profile use for professionals is straightforward and usually included; just tell me where they're going.
